Barko
PERSONAL PROJECT
UX/UI Design
Barko is a location-based app designed to help dog owners and walkers discover new parks, trails, and walkable areas while providing real-time tracking of the number of dogs in each location.
Through user research and surveys, I developed a concept that enhances convenience, promotes social engagement, and helps pet owners find the best spots for their dogs to explore safely.
Barko
is the Solution
By providing a platform that allows users to explore new parks, trails, and walkable areas, Barko makes it easy for dog owners and walkers to find suitable locations for their dogs to exercise and socialize.
Furthermore, Barko's real-time tracking feature enables users to see how many dogs are currently at a particular location, ensuring that they can plan their visit accordingly. With Barko, dog owners and walkers can enjoy a stress-free, safe, and enjoyable walking experience with their furry friends.

Goal
Create a user-friendly app that simplifies the process of finding enjoyable locations for dog walking. The app should offer real-time dog population tracking and a comprehensive collection of reviews and pictures for each location, removing the stress and uncertainty of choosing the right spot.
Problem
Dog owners and walkers often struggle to find new places to walk their dogs that are both enjoyable for their furry friends and convenient to access.
Additionally, they may be unsure about the safety and dog-friendliness of a particular park or trail before visiting. It can also be challenging to know when is the best time to visit a particular location to ensure that there are (or aren’t) other dogs around for their pets to socialize and play with.
